2018 Cycle Show
Members from far and wide gathered at Whitkirk for the club's annual cycle show. The theme for this year was 'cross or X ' framed machines and many were to be seen. Of local interest was a Leeds built Butler of 1910 and a Farnell of Bradford stand. A 1901 Terrot with Lavigne chain was much admired. A full report will be in the next 'Spokesman'.
Annual visit to Otley Cycling Club 2018
Once again we were privileged to visit the 'Ron Kitching' library at the cycling club HQ. A great source of cycling publications back to the early days. Plenty of memories of races won or lost were brought to mind for some members whilst others browsed for information on projects still to be done. Some hardy members even went for a ride. All, though enjoyed the steady flow of drinks and socializing. Thanks to D.J.B.

December 2017
Members and friends gathered once again for the club's 'Christmas Buffet'. The day began with an informal cycle jumble whilst everyone enjoyed a hot drink. During the buffet lunch there was entertainment by a brass ensemble and a festive quiz. The proceeds of the raffle were sent to MacMillan Nurses. A great start to the Christmas season thanks to all attending. There was even a visit from 'three wise men'.
